Founded in February 2014 by Cezar Iordan, Moovers Chicago began with a simple yet powerful vision: to transform the moving experience from a source of stress into a seamless transition. HOW THE MOOVERS JOURNEY STARTED
In 2014, Cezar Daniel Iordan, still a student and needing extra cash, turned a single van into a side hustle in moving. He formalises it,incorporates Moovers Chicago Inc., and runs a one-man-and-a-van operation, employing help when needed and taking on whatever jobs come in.
FINDING OUR FIRST REPEAT CUSTOMERS
In 2015, Daniel keeps knocking on doors and answering every call, slowly turning that one-van hustle into a recognised local mover. He focuses on showing up on time, protecting furniture properly and keeping promises, building the first wave of repeat customers and word-of-mouth jobs across Chicago.
FROM A VAN TO SMALL FLEET
By 2016, Daniel grows Moovers beyond a single vehicle, now running three trucks across the city. He spends his days on the road and evenings organising crews, quotes and schedules, proving that the company can handle more complex moves while still feeling like a small, hands-on operation customers can trust.
TURNING INTO A REAL COMPANY
In 2017, MOOvers Chicago began behaving less like a side project and more like a real company, operating from its first location on Elston Ave with clearer roles, crews, and systems. We focus on consistent pricing, better communication, and tighter scheduling, so customers feel they’re hiring a serious, organised mover rather than just “a couple of guys and a truck.”
GROWING FLEET, GROWING TRUST
By 2018, MOOvers Chicago is running five trucks and a busy calendar, handling everything from studio apartments to full homes. We secure formal accreditations and double down on training, showing customers that we’re not only strong on moving day, but also serious about paperwork, insurance and doing things the right way.
BECOMING A KNOWN NAME
In 2019, MOOvers Chicago rolls out a branded van alongside five trucks, making our red-and-yellow look hard to miss on Chicago streets. More reviews, referrals and “you moved my friend” calls arrive every week, and we start appearing on local recommendation lists as one of the go-to movers in the city.
STAYING ON THE ROAD THROUGH COVID
By 2020, MOOvers Chicago operated nine trucks and two vans when COVID hit and shook the whole industry. We stay open with new safety rules, keep trucks rolling and crews employed, and absorb a lot of the disruption so customers can still move homes safely during one of the toughest years imaginable.
NEW HOME BASE ON KEDZIE AVE.
In 2021, MOOvers Chicago outgrew its old yard and moved into the Kedzie Avenue location, giving us more room for trucks, gear, and office staff. From this new home base, we coordinate more local and long-distance jobs, sharpen dispatch, and give customers a stable, easy-to-find point of contact in the city.
SCALING UP THE OPERATION WITH STORAGE
By 2022, MOOvers Chicago runs a fleet of around twenty-four trucks and five vans, plus a refreshed website that reflects the company we’ve become. We invest heavily in scheduling, training and customer service systems, making sure that higher volume doesn’t mean lower standards and that every move still feels personal and controlled, added a second location for storage services.

In 2023, MOOvers Chicago isn’t just busy; we’re now recognised inside the industry as a serious, well-run carrier with long-distance services.
